"It looks almost like magnetic resonance tomography, only much smaller, in the centre of which you position your suffering joint", 64 year old Horst Agel from Lahnau-Atzbach begins the story of the arthritis in his left knee joint. "You don't feel anything when you place your knee in the small cylinder for an hour. During my therapy sessions I always did crossword puzzles" says the self-employed building expert. "Already after the first hour of therapy of the MBST magnetic resonance therapy I felt signs of improvement in the pain in my knee. Today I can say that this therapy has considerably delayed the need for a knee operation, for I am practically free of complaints."
The 64 year old amateur photographer and cycling enthusiast suffered intense pain, which simply did not want to go away again, in the left knee in April 2002 following a stressful day at work, having stood for a great deal of time. "My first signs of complaint had been ten years ago but this time I could barely stand up, lift the knee and not walk far at all or go down stairs", the building expert describes his worst pain. The doctor's visit gave the diagnosis: joint cartilage damage with typical arthrositic friction in advanced stages. "My doctor had already prepared me gently for the news that I would probably need a major operation and my knee joint replaced" he continues with his report on his suffering. The 64 year old was referred to the Marburg university clinic, which confirmed the diagnosis and arranged a surgery date for January 2003. The operation seemed to be a done deal and the 64 year old had already given his blood donation.
"I also had the diagnosis confirmed in principle by a professional association clinic in Frankfurt am Main, which I had additionally consulted", continues the building expert, "for ultimately, as a small-time self-employed person today I could barely afford to be out of work for a long period of time because of an operation and the resulting recovery period. Since his complaint improved, he continued his bike rides on a regular basis, and didn't go for the operation, knowing that it was probably only a question of time.
"Finally I heard from acquaintances that there was a new therapy called magnetic resonance therapy. Since I am open-minded to new things, I went for completely unbiased counselling at the Wetzlar treatment centre and initially thought that before I went for the operation I would try this out", Horst recounts his thoughts, which pushed him closer to the MBST magnetic resonance therapy. "Consequently, instead of going to Marlburg for an operation I went to the MBST-Centre in Wetzlar and after the first session already felt an improvement, which increased up to six months after treatment." After about a year and a half Horst Agel repeated the treatment on the advice of his doctor with another five therapy sessions. "Where previously I went downstairs partly backwards or I took things easy, today I no longer have any problems. I can say that I can live a fully normal life without limitations or worries about mobility", rejoices the 64 year old building expert at his treatment success story.
