A number of appliances for MBST® Magnetic Resonance therapy are avaiable allowing the treatment of a wide range of conditions. Treatment plans of different lengths customise the treatment to the individual patient.
An MBST® treatment course comprises the following stages :
| 1. | A thorough examination of the patient to exclude contraindications. |
| 2. | An examination to establish a baseline MBST® score. |
| 3. | A series of treatments of one hour each on consecutive days (interrupted by the weekend). |
| 4. | Mobility exercises are advised in parallel with the treatment. These exercises should be patient specific, carried out daily, and consist of movement with a minimum of physical stress. |
| 5. | The patient is examined again about six to twelve weeks after completing the therapy. During this examination, the MBST® score is bought up to date in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the teatment as experienced subjectively by the patient as pain relief and increased mobility. |
| 6. | Another physical examination is performed six months after the last therapy session, in order to evaluate the long-term improvements in mobility and pain relief and to update the MBST® score for comparison with the baseline. |
Three therapy options are available dependant upon the severity of symptoms.
Series of three
For minor discomfort; after surgery; directly following an accident or sport injury. Three one-hour sessions on three consecutive days.
Series of five
Standard procedure for medium or strong discomfort. Five one-hour sessions on five successive days.
Series of nine
Classical treatment for very severe arthritis. Nine one-hour sessions on nine successive days (with possible interruption for the weekend).
